"I recently used Hemme Construction to finish out my basement.  It only took 18 years of nagging from my wife to get it started--I told her I'd get to it eventually!  It was not a task that I was looking forward to.  Both the organization part of it and the money it was going to take were daunting.  I originally planned to do all of the subcontracting and coordinate everything myself to try to keep costs down.  I didn't get too far into it before realizing that it would be a lot easier if I could use subcontractors who had already been vetted and were trustworthy.  My wife would also be at home working during some of the construction so trusting the contractors was obviously very important.  I met with Ted from Hemme Construction and ran through my basement with him and he was immediately making suggestions on how to do things cleanly and efficiently while keeping the quality end product in mind.  It was obvious that in this case I didn't know what I needed to know but Ted knew it!  I talked with my wife and we decided to go ahead and hand the project over to Hemme.  Through the process I learned that not only is Ted an awesome guy and great coordinator with his subs, all of the workers who were in my house (Tracy, Cole, Jerry, plus others) were super nice and moved very quickly.  I never felt like they were wasting time or taking too long to do things--in fact, they were working so much in the heat I decided to bring them snacks and drinks.  They were always hustling!  By the end of it, we had a great relationship with everybody who was in the house and it seemed like everybody was proud of their part.  My wife was also as happy as she could be and even though she was on zoom meetings all day long while they were working in the rooms surrounding her office.   Not once did she have issues and have to tell the workers to be quiet or stop cursing or anything like I would have expected.  Honestly I never heard any cussing or saw anybody who was not working with a smile!  Throughout the process, I also had Jeff Hemme (the owner of the company) check in and make sure I was happy with how things were going which is nice to see--I know he probably has a lot on his plate but to know he cared enough to check in on my small project made my wife and I feel great about who we had hired.  When we do our next project, I'll be reaching out to Hemme again.  It was a fantastic experience.  Thank you to everybody who I worked with us at Hemme Construction!"

“Though they had many other homes they were worknig on, we never felt ours was left beind & amazingly, they stuck to the timeline, to the day we agreed on. We are more than 100% satisfied with the quality of our home. We never felt they took “short cuts” on quality & fixed every single thing we asked for on the walkthrough at the end.
